OBJECTIVE #1 -

Identify the three-pronged test which is used to determine if material is obscene - MCCH 16.1

The three-prong test used by the U.S. Supreme Court to identify what material is obscene is:

1. its predominant appeal is to prurient interest in sex AND

2. it depicts or describes sexual conduct in a patently offensive way AND

3. it lacks serious literary, artistic, political or scientific value
